“I don’t write to engage in an intellectual activity. I write to create a world that opens up to people—a dialogue between a writer and the universe. This is far removed from ego or aspirations for fame. When the inner dialogue awakens through writing, the ability to project ideas intertwines with intimacy, with one’s inner self. It is about allowing oneself to think and to be. To share it, one must be an unknown entity, a voice without a body or an image that allows the reader to be a companion. I distance myself from the idea of intellectualizing through writing because I am not good at supporting theories. For me, writing is about transferring ideas and images; perhaps the best medium for this is poetry or music. However, in prose, it’s merely about transferring what one can as best as possible. That’s what I strive to do. There’s nothing intellectual about it, just art—and that’s what I desire. To create art, one must be anonymous; I’ve always thought this way, and I still do. Because it’s a gift, not an expectation. Now it’s clear why a pseudonym.”
